Mom's 30!!!

Yesterday was mom's birthday.....the big 3-0! She had a very busy day! Dad woke her up with coffee and presents and cards, and then they got ready to go to breakfast and have a day all to themselves. Dad had taken the day off from work and arranged for Ann Claire Gunn to babysit me all day so they could have a day together without worrying about fitting it around my schedule (or my fussiness when I'm out and about too long)! Spending time with my dad was my mom's most favorite present.

After a day full of shopping, mom was tired and ready to come home and spend some time with me. Dad had planned for a fun dinner out and was trying hard to convince mom to stick with the plan, especially since they already had a babysitter. But they compromised to pick up AC and me, pick up food from La Paz, where he had planned to go, take AC home, and then come home and eat together as a family. Well, when we got to La Paz there was a table full of people waiting for mom! She was really surprised (and was wishing she had been able to freshen up after a long day out)!! Mom had fun and was thankful for all who came! She was also very thankful to Dad for planning such a fun day and a surprise dinner! My dad is the greatest!

The Flu has Flown!

This past week may have the worst of my life so far - I had the flu and was miserable! But today I am better and back to my fun, busy, playful self!!

Here I was feeling so sick!

A Trip to Greenville...

Our family went to Greenville the first weekend in February for my Granny's retirement luncheon. Aunt Heather rode with us. Aunt Heidi and Uncle John were in Chicago for the weekend celebrating their 1 year anniversary, where they saw lots of snow!

Granny's luncheon was fun! I got to see lots of people that knew me....I guess Granny talks about me a lot! I was busy and all over the place! The next day, a lot of family came to my grandparent's house for another lunch celebration. It was fun, too, especially because Grayson and Little Clayton were there....they were the closest to my age.

That night my parents and I went to visit some of our really good friends, the Taylors... Russ, Jessica, Caleb and Kathryn, who drove down from Charlottte to see us. Here's the entry from their blog about our visit.....

The weekend before last we were able to visit some very close friends who we hardly ever get to see anymore. Andy, Meredith and Austin Nix who live in Birmingham, came to Greenville for a visit with Meredith's parents.. Of course with them being so close, we had to go and see them. We drove up on Saturday afternoon to spend the evening with them. It had been almost a year since we had seen Austin - my how much he has changed! He is 15 months old now and precious! Meredith was one of my best friends growing up (since we were 5) and was my room mate in college. Although we don't see each other very much, we still talk just about every day, if not 2 or 3 times a day! It was so great to see them and play with Austin. We all played for a while at my parent's house and then just the adults got to go out and enjoy a nice dinner. We talked and laughed and enjoyed every minute of it! We just wish that we could live closer to each other. Maybe someday!

I LOVE Daddy!!

I love my Daddy! My favorite time of day is when he comes home from work. As soon as Levi starts barking when Daddy pulls in the driveway, I run to the door and start yelling, "Da-Da!" because I know a wrestling match is about to start! (I always win!) I love to have his attention, and I follow him around everywhere!

The other day when Dad was out of town, I was playing with Mom and saying, "Ma-Ma." She made such a big deal about it because I only say it when I'm sad, that I just started saying
"Da-Da" after every time she said, "Ma-Ma"!! I found it amusing!

Here's my dad and me just hanging out...
